The interface is built around 5 usergroups (Adm...Guest), who can see different slices of the system. The administrator defines who has access to the functions. Normally you would choose to enable Guest to search bibliographic records and you might permit display of item status.

You can have complete lending history (who has had the items) - or not. You can display who has the items on loan - or not

You can give the user access to his own account, renew og return. You can give all users - or just yourself - access to reserve items on loan. There is a choice of 2 different reservation-models.

You can choose which targets a default search should check. Hitlists are always shown with our own collection on top followed by links to other already active hitlists from other targets.

Information services deploying SOAP or Z39 can be integrated into the search.

On Reindex.net you can access many different interfaces and different views of the same system. Furthermore, you can define parameters, so you create a tailored system for each of the 5 usergroups

All future changes will be enclosed in the one system, so all users run on the same software. This minimizes the need for support.

The user selects preferred language at login. Currently English, Norwegian, German and Danish are available.
