Welcome to Reindex

Reindex.net is a Web based library service offering all the traditional functions of an ILS, plus many new, additional functions. Reindex.net utilizes industry standards such as XML, SRU and Z39.50. Reindex utilizes Web 2.0 design principles. Micro updates (2-3 each month) keep the service current.

The service is unique in that it is not structured using modules. All functions are integrated in one interface permitting fluid movement between functions. Access to those functions is controlled by login-roles assigned by a system administrator.

All major browsers are supported and are the only software required to use the system. As a result there are no costly software upgrade costs and no software distributions do be done in your library. Getting started is as simple as signing up, sending us your files to convert, taking a short training course and start using your new ILS!

There are currently 49 libraries running on Reindex and each month more libraries are signing up. Reindex has been tested in sites with 2.6 millions bibliographic records and 5.8 million items on standard hardware. Currently our largest customer (measured by staffing) has a staff of 25 librarians.

Start-up and conversion of data are free. The yearly charge for the SaaS (Software as a Service) is $2000 plus $750 per employee in the library.

Remember that Reindex is a service and not software. We’ve made it easy for you to join and leave by making the data conversion free and the extraction of all your data possible through security controlled commands available to properly authorized staff at any time. The data is then delivered to your mailbox.
